“The platform works exactly the way I need it to. I have one team member who manages all of our exemption certificates, and that functionality has been particularly efficient for us. It allows him to handle everything seamlessly, making the handoff significantly easier.”

FAQ
Common questions
No. Nothing is charged until you enter your card details and confirm on the payment screen. Before that you see the full invoice line by line, with each line's billing cadence shown next to it, so you know which parts are one-time and which renew. There is no deposit and no hold on your card while you review.
Both, and the difference matters. The advertised USD $8,921 is the one-time total: the IKE company establishment package (€4,609) plus the 24% Greek VAT line (€3,122.16). On top of that, your base package includes a mandatory Business Renewal Costs line of €2,642 a year, about $3,049, covering the fixed business tax, the GEMI registry and Commercial Chamber subscriptions, and the administrator's EFKA contribution. That line is billed annually and recurs every year your company exists, so budget it as a yearly cost, not a one-off. It appears as its own annual line on the invoice before you confirm.
Greece charges 24% VAT on professional services, so it is billed as its own line rather than folded into the other prices. The line is €3,122.16, about $3,603, exactly as printed in Commenda's Greek pricing schedule, and it is the VAT on the services in that schedule. It is a large share of your total, which is why we show it up front instead of letting it surprise you at checkout. It is Greek tax, not a Commenda service fee.
Government and filing fees are included. The one-time price covers registering the IKE through the One-Stop-Shop and GEMI, plus drafting the power of attorney, interpretation services, issuing the administrator's Greek TIN, appointing the Greek tax representative, EFKA registration, opening the corporate bank account, and the statutory seat lease and rent. Two paid extras sit outside it: a Greek virtual address at €3,000 a year, about $3,462, if you have no address of your own for the statutory seat, and Greece Basic Compliance at €5,400 a year, about $6,231 (€450 a month), if you want Commenda to run your Greek accounting and tax filings. Payroll is not priced for Greece yet, so we quote it when you hire. Your own share capital, trademark and IP work, and tax advice in your home country are also outside this price.
We start immediately. You get a workspace with your compliance calendar, a document vault, and a single point of contact rather than a ticket queue. Our team drafts the power of attorney, issues the administrator's Greek TIN and appoints the Greek tax representative, registers the administrator with EFKA, incorporates the IKE through the One-Stop-Shop and GEMI, and coordinates the corporate bank account. Each step's status updates in the dashboard as it completes.
For the company: the proposed name, registered address, duration, and shareholding structure. If the founders are individuals: ID or passport, TIN, address, phone, official titles, a tax clearance certificate if they already hold a Greek TIN, and Greek tax forms M3, M6, M7 and M8. If a founder is a company: articles of association, instrument of incorporation, a good standing certificate, a corporate resolution, a power of attorney, and the M3, M6, M7 and M8 forms for both the founder and the new company. Documents issued outside Greece also go through notarization and legalization, a step controlled by notaries and consulates rather than by us, so start it early.
Incorporation runs 1 to 2 weeks once your documents are in hand, covering the One-Stop-Shop filing and the GEMI registration. That window excludes notarization and legalization of documents abroad and the bank's compliance review, both of which are on third-party clocks we do not control. In practice your live date depends on how quickly the legalized documents and KYC come back.
No resident director is required. Every IKE appoints at least one administrator, and Greek residency is not needed: EU citizens can be appointed without restriction, and a non-EU administrator can be appointed remotely without relocating, as long as they do not physically reside or work in Greece. A residence permit only comes into play if they do. What a non-Greek-resident individual does need is a Greek TIN, and that requires appointing a tax representative who is a permanent Greek resident. The TIN, the tax representative appointment, and EFKA registration for every administrator are all in the base price, and the tax representative applies to individual founders, not to corporate shareholders.
Yes. Every Greek IKE must have a statutory seat, a registered address in Greece where the company is legally domiciled and receives correspondence from the tax authorities and GEMI. You cannot incorporate compliantly without one. The base price already covers drafting the lease agreement and the rent for the statutory seat. If you have no premises of your own in Greece, Commenda's virtual address at €3,000 a year, about $3,462, is added and is required to proceed, which is why the flow asks about your address before you pay.
Yes, and a Greek corporate bank account is mandatory to operate an IKE, so opening one is in the base price. The opening itself is the bank's process, which we navigate for you: approval depends on the bank's KYC and AML checks, and timelines vary by bank and risk profile. Sequencing matters, since the company has to exist before an account can open, so we order the steps rather than leaving you with an entity that cannot transact. Once the account is live, the administrator gets mobile and internet banking and can pay Greek employees by bank transfer, as Greek law requires.
Greek obligations attach to the company, not to its revenue. An IKE with no activity still keeps books under Greek accounting standards, still files locally, and still owes the annual renewal costs: the fixed business tax, the GEMI and Commercial Chamber subscriptions, and the administrator's EFKA contribution. No operations does not mean no obligations. Those deadlines land on your calendar from day one so a quiet company does not quietly fall out of compliance.
Your IKE gets a compliance calendar built from its jurisdiction, entity type, and fiscal year end, listing every Greek filing and renewal it owes with status tracking on each item. Reminders go out by email ahead of each due date, we file what your plan covers, and the confirmation is stored against the entity in your document vault. You can change services later: if you start with your own accountant and later want Greece Basic Compliance at €5,400 a year, you turn it on and the calendar updates. The same dashboard holds your other entities, so a multi-country structure stays on one source of truth.
