MCA System Downtime: Plan Your Filings Before July 9, 2025

MCA System Shutdown: 9–13 July 2025

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) will shut down its online filing system from 9th July at 00:00 hrs through 13th July 2025, inclusive. During this period, no filings—whether approvals, STP submissions, or KYC—can be initiated, processed, or completed. To ensure compliance and continuity, please align your critical filings according to the timelines below.

Note:- The timelines mentioned under each section below are for internal planning purposes only. To ensure smooth and timely filings with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), we strongly recommend that you share the necessary information with us before the indicated deadlines.

Approval-Based Filings (Require 8–10 Working Days for MCA Approval)

• Last date to file: 27 June 2025
• Resubmission window: 28 June – 3 July 2025

This buffer allows response to any MCA queries or Rejects and ensures final approval well before the shutdown.

STP Filings (Straight-Through Processing – Instant Approval)

• Last date to file: 8 July 2025

Any STP submissions received after this date may not be processed until the portal reopens on 14 July.

Adhoc / Non-Routine Filings (e.g., Name Change, Address Change, Capital & Ownership Updates)

• Last date to file: 23 June 2025

This buffer allows response to any MCA queries or Rejects and ensures final approval well before the shutdown.

DIN/DSC KYC (DIR‑3 KYC for Directors)

• Last date to file: 29–30 June 2025

These filings are typically quick but may require follow-up in case of mismatches—allow time to correct before shutdown.

Checking Name Availability and Filing Name Reservation Requests

• Last date to file: 3 July 2025

Name approval takes about a week and stays valid for 20 days, with an option to extend. This gives us flexibility to secure and maintain the name if needed.

Important Considerations

• No drafts or “in‑process” forms during shutdown:
• All filings must be completed and closed before the shutdown. Any form left pending during the shutdown may be cancelled by MCA, necessitating a complete re-filing.
• Portal slowdown expected from late June:
• Please note that MCA’s portal is expected to become slower and more error-prone in the week leading up to the shutdown. Early filing is strongly advised.
• Risk Mitigation:
• Our goal is to complete all critical filings well in advance to avoid any regulatory delays or duplication of effort due to system errors or form rejections.
